Need some quick answers? Here’s our most frequently asked questions. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to call us at 817-332-7867 or ask a question below!

What are the office hours?

We are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

How do I make an appointment?

Call our office at (817) 332-7867 during normal business hours and someone will be happy to assist you in scheduling an appointment. You can also fill out our online REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT FORM. A representative from our office will call you within 48 hours to confirm your appointment.

How do I prepare before my appointment?

You can print off the forms you need to complete for your appointment from our website under the Patient Forms button and bring them with you. Alternatively, our receptionist will give you the forms to complete when you arrive. Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment if you need to complete the forms in the office.

If you’re a returning patient, please notify the receptionist of any address, phone, or insurance changes since your last appointment.

Please be aware that patients may be seen out of order of their arrival time based on set appointments and paperwork requirements. Be assured that getting you in and out of our office in a timely manner is a high priority for our practice.

What happens if I need surgery?

You will receive an information package with instructions about preparing for your upcoming surgery. We will work on authorization for your surgery from your insurance company. Our surgery scheduler will contact you with a surgery date that is suitable. Please keep in mind that this date may be altered in case of delayed authorization by insurance, potential abnormal test results that may need to be addressed, and occasionally to care for patients with more urgent conditions.

All patients will be scheduled for a pre-operative evaluation at the hospital. During this pre-operative visit, you may have blood tests, X-rays or other investigations and are assessed by someone from the Anesthesia team. Please bring all your medications to this visit, as well as a detailed list of your medical history, and allergies. You may also need a medical clearance from a cardiologist or other specialist depending on your condition.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?

Please call us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations less than 24-hours are subject to a cancellation fee and impact other patients who may be waiting for an appointment. Please speak with our office staff if there are any concerns regarding our policy.

How do I get my prescription refilled?

Please contact your pharmacy to request medication refills. Your pharmacy will notify our office of your refill request. We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for a refill request. Please be aware that refills received on Fridays or holidays may not be authorized until the next business day.

NOTE: Our physicians will not refill narcotic prescriptions without seeing you in the office. Please allow 24-48 hours (excluding weekends) for your prescription refill request to be processed. We ask that you request your medications at least 3 to 4 days before your prescription is due to run out. We will refill prescriptions that are current only (prescribed within the last 3 months).

Don’t see the answer you’re looking for? Feel free to ask us a question here and we will respond back within 48 hours.
